High School Assemblies can be a challenge, and will most likely land in one of two categories. A success, or a fail. Pretty simple, but such a let down when it falls into the fail category. After all the planning, and hopes of a change, to find the students were not interested and benefited nothing, or very little.
Today’s youth want to hear a message that will offer them hope. They need to be not only encouraged, but challenged to live a life of integrity. High School Assemblies should be a place where the classes join forces and make a united decision to be the change they want to see in this world. Your choice speaker should have a message that will come in like a wrecking ball, and tear down walls between different youth cultures, and have a means to connect both individually, and as a whole, to your student body.
The reason why so many high school assemblies fail is not that the speaker didn’t have a good message, but rather because they lacked a real connection. High School students may be young, but they will know if the message being delivered is authentic, or not. Raw, real-life experiences, and the ability to draw the students in, forming a connection the youth can truly relate to is key to keeping them engaged.
Beacon Assemblies might be your ticket to a successful assembly! Beacon will deliver a fresh and honest message using his own life experiences. High school assemblies can be life-changing if the speaker really loves what they do. Beacon uses his love for music to draw the students in, and form that connection that keeps them listening through the entire program. Though the music is a great tool and has proven to keep the teens interested, it is his message that truly calls for a change in hearts and minds.
